Where: The kitchen of an apartment in a five-story apartment building on Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt, in the prestigious center of St. Petersburg. When the photograph was taken, 10 families were living in the apartment.

Who: Auntie Asya (Anastasia Emelyanovna); Ilya, who took the photograph.

What: Asya's part of the kitchen: a gas stove, a kitchen table, and a cabinet above them. On this day, Asya was cleaning. On the stove is a plastic bucket with newspapers. Probably the newspapers would be used to line the shelves of the kitchen cabinet.
